Home Made Garlic and Chives Sauce Recipe
This is a very simple recipe for a delicious tasting garlic and chives
sauce that is brilliant poured over steamed vegetables. Takes about
3 minutes to make your own sauce and contains under 20 calories per
serve.
Ingredients:

2 cloves fresh garlic
- 1 small bunch fresh
chives
(you can substitute fresh chives with either dried chives or the type
that comes in the squeeze pack shown in the image.)
- 2 teaspoons corn flour or corn starch
- cup of water
- 1 tbls milk (for coloring)
Method:
- Peel garlic cloves and cut into fine slithers
- Finely chop chives
- Add garlic and chives to water in small pot and bring to boil, remove
from heat.
- Make corn starch into a smooth paste by adding enough cold water and the tablespoon of milk to
make the paste runny.
- Add corn starch paste to garlic mixture until you have the desired
thickness
- Add a little pepper and salt to suit your taste
- Pour over steamed vegetables
This garlic and chives sauce recipe serves 2 and contains roughly 20
calories per serve. If you need to make the serve for more than 2 people
just increase each ingredient a little to suit. When you have made this
sauce once, you will know how easy it is to make as little or as much
as you want.
