We all can make a difference to others lives by what we choose to do
in our own. Good deeds or bad, whatever actions we make changes others
lives like ripples in a pond. Choose to do good and others will feel
the positive force of your actions. Choose a bad path and this could
affect those around you adversely. Become a positive thinker and do
good so that others will benefit from the ripple

Making a DifferenceDid you know that you can influence somebody else's life by the things that you do or say? Yes, it's very true, your actions can have a direct influence on many others around you. Let's go a little deeper and see why. Knowing that you can make a difference in others lives gives you responsibility for your actions. Why would anybody want to harm anyone else if they are actually aware that what they are doing could have catastrophic results somewhere down the road of time. Most who do wrong to another don't quite get the meaning of "Do unto others as you would do to thyself". Something that comes to mind of wrong doing and the consequences that can occur later is a man hitting and abusing his wife. Eventually this would lead to marriage breakup and hardship for all concerned. Imagine if there are children, what they must endure and suffer for the rest of their lives, because of the marriage breakup.
My life partner is one such human who has the ability to influence all around her in a special way. Last Christmas we were shopping at the supermarket, making sure we had enough food for the festive season, just like hundreds of others. The supermarket was packed and even though all checkouts were open, the lines were long. Some people get a bit flustered and impatient waiting for 5 minutes or so as each overflowing shopping trolley was emptied by the checkout clerk. In our particular line, the young girl working the checkout was doing her best to make everything as quick as possible, yet seemed flustered and ill at ease. As the young lady, who was surely still at high school and working part time, put our goods through the register, my wife quietly took a chocolate bar from the display and handed it to the girl who promptly swiped it and added it to our products. My wife then done something that changed this girls day, perhaps her entire life. She handed the girl the chocolate bar and said "Merry Christmas, this is for you for serving so many people so efficiently with such a beautiful smile." Yes, the girl then smiled so brightly it certainly changed my day. To see the absolute pleasure that a small gift of a one dollar chocolate bar can bring to another human being is nothing short of a miracle. A week later we went to the supermarket again and the girl came rushing out to greet us in the carpark. She told us how thrilled she was with the little gift as she was having a bad time that particular day. People were grumpy because of the Christmas rush and sadly her grandmother passed away the day before, but she had to work as the family needed the money. We still see the young girl from time to time and she always gives us the biggest smile and a happy wave. She makes us so happy yet probably doesn't know she is affecting our lives. Can you think of something nice you can do that will change somebodys life? Doing a good deed can have amazing results.
